Dawn Simmons

Dawn Simmons is driven by creating the best employee experience for our staff and a culture where people are motivated and challenged by worthwhile conversation work. In her role as vice-president for people and culture, she is responsible for talent acquisition, employee culture and engagement, performance management, talent management, organizational change, compensation, benefits, staff learning and development.

Dawn joined the American Forest Foundation in 2017 having previously held various global HR leadership positions for multinational organizations in the nonprofit space, professional services and hi-tech sectors where she gained invaluable international experience. That experience gave Dawn the ability to grow in cultural competence and embrace differences—critical skills she brings to our work and mission every day. 

Dawn enjoys spending time with family, is a dog lover and likes to travel to fun in the sun places around the world.
